The geological structure of this area is quite complex, with strong strata abrasiveness, poor drillability, low-pressure and high-permeability, developed fractures and caves, frequent well leakage, high risk of drill sticking, high strata collapse pressure, poor wellbore stability, and large changes in the overall strata occurrence in the horizontal section. The actual drilling strata dip angle varies from 6° up to 21° down, making trajectory adjustment difficult. In response to these construction difficulties and to ensure safe drilling, the team used the "Safety Management Improvement Year" action as a guide and the "Negative List, Everyone Passes" competition as a starting point to focus on strengthening employee safety skills training and improving the safety literacy of all employees. The construction plan was fully implemented on site, providing a solid guarantee for the safe construction of the well and greatly improving construction efficiency. Since the project started, the company has attached great importance to it, dispatched technical experts to the well to supervise, and through continuous research and analysis, held special seminars at the right time, implemented the "one section, one policy" in the entire well section, and achieved good results. Among them, by optimizing the coring tools and scientifically adjusting the gap, the coring operation was successfully completed, with a coring footage of 90.84 meters and a core recovery rate of 99.89%. In the horizontal section, by conscientiously implementing the integration of geology and engineering, the double sweet spots were explored, and the drilling rates of the box and platinum box reached 100%. During the second opening construction, measures such as regular magnetic cleaning, parameter adjustment, and extended single-column eye-marking time were taken to ensure that the rotary steerable tool was in good working condition and the wellbore was stable and safe. The reservoir had an average daily footage of 240 meters, and the second opening was successfully completed in one trip. The well was fully drilled to a depth of 3,596 meters and a horizontal section length of 1,518 meters. The drilling cycle was shortened by 20.06 days compared to the adjacent well YNH1-1. It also created a number of records in the block, including the longest single-trip footage in the reservoir, the highest mechanical drilling speed in the second drilling, the fewest second drilling trips, and the highest coring recovery rate. The well also received a letter of praise from the Yunnan Shale Gas Exploration and Development Company, making a positive contribution to local economic development.
