The First Fracturing Technology in Tuha Oilfield Achieved Significant Results

Well Hu 44-151 is an oil-producing well in the CCUS-EOR pilot test area of the Niujuanhu East Area of the Santanghu Oilfield. Although the well has been injected with water and carbon dioxide for energy replenishment, it has never been effective and has been in low-efficiency production for a long time. Every oil-producing well in the test area is a "treasure" of the management area. In order to improve the displacement effect and turn the inefficient wells into efficient wells, the management area decided to implement the fracturing effect-inducing process to increase the single well production.

In order to ensure that the first fracturing well in the test area achieves a "good start", during the design stage, the technical staff of the Santanghu Oil Production Management District carefully designed the fracturing plan, tailored the single well technical plan, and decided to implement the temporary plugging + secondary sanding process in the layer to reasonably control the construction scale, which not only ensured the fracturing effect, but also avoided the gas injection channeling caused by too long cracks. Through careful design, it was finally determined that the well had a fluid volume of 330 cubic meters and 40 cubic meters of sand. During the construction preparation stage, the technical staff adhered to their posts, strictly performed their duties, organized in advance, coordinated jointly, and promptly checked and rectified problems to ensure a 100% construction rate. During the injection stage, the technical staff kept a close eye on the site, closely tracked the injection parameters and the pressure changes of the adjacent wells, and adjusted the fracturing parameters in time to ensure the smooth construction of the well.
At present, the CCUS-EOR pilot test is one of the important measures for the Santanghu Oil Production Management Area to stabilize production and increase production. The management area will closely track the pressure changes of the well, carefully organize the effect evaluation, summarize new ideas and methods for single well production and efficiency improvement in the CCUS-EOR test area, and further consolidate the foundation for the management area to stabilize production and increase production.
Fracturing effect technology is a technical means used in the field of oil and gas production. Its main purpose is to break through the physical property limitations of low permeability reservoirs, improve the permeability and conductivity of reservoirs, and thus obtain ideal oil well production. The reason why the fracturing effect technology is preferred in the CCUS pilot test area is to solve the problem that the adjacent wells are not effective during the carbon dioxide injection process. Through the fracturing effect technology, the permeability of the reservoir between the gas injection well and the production well is improved, so that carbon dioxide can better and more smoothly displace the crude oil in the formation to the corresponding production well, thereby improving the recovery rate.
