Shaanxi Yanchang Gas Field Gas Production Plant No. 2's Natural Gas Output Exceeded 2 Billion Cubic Meters

The annual cumulative natural gas production of Gas Production Plant No. 2 reached 2.003 billion cubic meters. This is the first time that the plant's output has exceeded 2 billion cubic meters, an increase of 87% year-on-year, setting a record high. It has made a significant contribution to the labor competition of "decisive battle in the fourth quarter, sprint to 2 billion, and help 10 billion cubic meters."

From 400 million cubic meters in 2017 to 2 billion cubic meters in 2024, the natural gas production of the plant has achieved a leapfrog growth. The production exceeding 2 billion has added confidence to the plant to complete the annual production task of 2.145 billion cubic meters, and provided strong support for the company to achieve the goal of 10 billion.

This year is a critical period for the plant to increase production and reserves of natural gas, reach full production and efficiency. Under the heavy pressure of decreasing production capacity, rain damage during the flood season, winter supply guarantee, frequent compressor failures, and many legacy issues of the project, the whole plant has been twisted into one rope, insisting on "one game of chess" to coordinate and advance as one game, focusing on the "two keys" of gas well construction and project production, strengthening the "three links" of natural gas production, supply and marketing, and striving to overcome difficulties, seize production, and promote all work efficiently through the "three rates" of gas wells, technical measures to tap potential, well construction organization and project construction.

Production organization is under pressure

This year's production task is the heaviest in history. Faced with unfavorable factors such as declining production capacity in the old area, high pressure in the downstream pipeline network and heavy rain disasters during the flood season, the plant combined the overall production situation, strengthened the connection of external transmission flow, reduced the time for maintenance at the bumping mouth, accelerated the access of gas wells and the commissioning of expansion stations, and refined the production tasks to the day. Taking the "three rates" of gas wells as the starting point, the production capacity was released to the maximum extent, and a census of old wells was carried out. Grading and classification management was carried out, with stable production of old wells, increased production by technical measures and increased production of new wells as the main measures. We continued to pay close attention to the implementation of production increase measures, and efficiently organized gas wells to increase production. The utilization rate, intact rate and efficiency of gas wells reached 98.26%, 98.57% and 96.01% respectively, and the technical measures increased production by 218 million cubic meters. Faced with the impact of heavy rainfall, the Second Gas Production Plant quickly organized all cadres, employees and social forces to participate in disaster rescue, pressed the production restart button and fast forward button, vigorously carried out post-disaster production self-rescue work, and ensured the steady operation of safe production. Under the premise of ensuring the safety and stability of the equipment, we gave up the comprehensive shutdown and maintenance, and seized the production of 66 million cubic meters.

Project construction is accelerated in an all-round way

The Central District North Project is the key to whether the plant can complete this year's production task. In order to relieve production pressure, under the premise of ensuring safety and quality, the construction personnel did not stop work during holidays and did not stop during festivals, and devoted themselves to promoting the efficient construction of the Central District North Project. With the joint efforts of everyone, the operation cycle of the expansion of the gas gathering station in the Yan 969 well area and the Yan 929 well area was shortened by 6 days and 5 days respectively. The new No. 8 station was put into operation 23 days ahead of schedule on the basis of the company's 2 months ahead of schedule. The project completed the additional production of 14.71 million cubic meters ahead of schedule, and the new well access contributed 515 million cubic meters of production, accounting for nearly 26%, achieving "quantity and efficiency increase".

Grasp the well construction operation early and fast

The progress of the well construction operation directly affects the progress of project access and the production and efficiency of gas wells. Gas Production Plant No. 2 closely followed the development priorities according to the annual tasks, took the initiative to connect with the company's well construction team bidding progress, formulated the "Well Construction Team Acceptance Plan" in advance, started the well construction team equipment acceptance as soon as possible on the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, and organized a project promotion meeting as soon as possible on the eighth day of the Lunar New Year to fully promote the resumption of well construction operations. A "list" of production and construction progress and a "production and efficiency promotion table" were formed, and the approval nodes of the digital platform were continuously tracked, daily follow-up, weekly reports, and monthly assessments were carried out to further strengthen the coordinated operations. The average drilling cycle was shortened to 29.05 days, the fastest drilling cycle was 21.13 days, and the completion pressure test pass rate was 100%. The annual fracturing task was completed on November 9, 6 days ahead of schedule, and a perfect ending was achieved ahead of schedule.

Multi-point guarantee for equipment

Without carrying out comprehensive shutdown and overhaul, the plant continues to keep a close eye on the safe production of the equipment, establishes an equipment management model of "strengthening the foundation, strengthening management, eliminating hidden dangers, and strengthening production", and formulates the "2024 Production Equipment Maintenance Plan". On the basis of the three-level inspection, it carried out 4 major equipment inspections, 1 "expert consultation" for special equipment, investigated and dealt with 363 problems, and the equipment integrity rate reached 96%. At the same time, regular calibration of measuring instruments is carried out to ensure that mandatory inspections must be carried out and all inspections should be carried out. In order to ensure the normal operation of the compressor, the "Operation and Maintenance Management Measures for Natural Gas Compressors of Gas Production Plant No. 2" was signed and issued in a timely manner, and a "one machine, one file" ledger for compressors was established to ensure the systematic and traceable management of compressors, promote the level of equipment safety management, and ensure the smooth operation of safe production.

Data shows that in the first half of this year, the plant achieved a good start in the first month and the first quarter 3 days and 4 days ahead of schedule respectively, with a half-year output increase of 68.6% year-on-year, and a daily output of 7.3 million cubic meters. In July, the natural gas delivery volume was 202 million cubic meters, breaking the 200 million mark in a single month for the first time, further consolidating the foundation for natural gas production and supply. At present, the daily gas output remains above 7 million cubic meters.

In the next step, the plant will take advantage of the "decisive battle in the fourth quarter, sprint to 2 billion, and help 10 billion cubic meters" to continue to strengthen production organization and operation, strive to complete the annual production task as soon as possible, and help the company successfully complete the 10 billion goal.
