Shengli Offshore Oilfield Has Produced 73 Million Tons Of Crude Oil in 30 Years

The drilling and well repairing projects in the offshore oil field of Sinopec Shengli Oilfield are accelerating the construction progress and are working at full capacity. The three newly put into production heavy oil wells of Chengbei 208 well group in Shengli Oilfield have stabilized their daily oil production at 150 tons, setting a new daily production record for Shengli offshore heavy oil wells in the past 20 years.

Shengli offshore oilfield has been put into development and construction for 30 years. It adopts the "production platform + onshore terminal" semi-sea and semi-land construction and development model, and has built the largest shallow-water oilfield in China. In 30 years, it has produced a total of 73 million tons of crude oil and 3 billion cubic meters of natural gas.

In recent years, with the deepening of offshore oilfield exploration and development, the water-driven oil reservoirs in the main blocks have entered a high water content period, and the offshore production positions have gradually shifted to the edge and middle-deep layers of the main blocks. In order to accelerate the increase of reserves and production, Shengli Oilfield has turned its attention to the offshore heavy oil blocks, innovated and integrated heavy oil cold production technology and integrated efficient production new models, so that the offshore heavy oil blocks have achieved new breakthroughs in efficient development.

In terms of production model, they adopted a new production model of "few wells and high production", innovatively integrated an integrated operation and development model with the key of increasing the controlled reserves of a single well, increasing the seepage area of the oil layer, and reducing the damage of completion, cultivated high-yield and efficient wells, and efficiently converted reserves into production.

This development model has been successfully applied in blocks such as Chengbei 208. Among them, the average daily oil production of a single well in Chengbei 208 block is more than 70 tons, and the annual oil production is 230,000 tons, achieving a doubling of the single well production and overall production capacity compared to the design, becoming Shengli's offshore "production capacity improvement demonstration area" and winning the special prize of Sinopec's efficient production capacity construction.

In terms of technological innovation, they used chemical flooding technology to significantly increase the recovery rate. In November 2020, the offshore oil field implemented a chemical flooding pilot project in the Chengbei 22F block, gradually exploring and solving problems such as limited platform space, no clean water aggregation, and high humidity, and initially formed a chemical flooding technology suitable for offshore oil fields that can significantly increase the recovery rate.

After three years of research, the project has innovatively formed a Shengli offshore chemical flooding technology system of "full-process closed viscosity preservation, small space large-scale injection, and full-process intelligent control". Up to now, the chemical flooding pilot test area of Chengbei 22F block has produced 1,300 tons of oil per day, with a cumulative increase of 439,000 tons of oil and a recovery rate of 14.2%.

In terms of intelligent management, they use remote production monitoring, online production precision measurement, drone inspection, etc. to equip the offshore oilfield with the "strongest brain". Among them, they explored the "data + platform + application" intelligent operation mode, developed and applied multiple apps covering 6 major business areas such as reservoir management and single well management, promoted digital transformation, intelligent improvement, and business flow reshaping, and basically built an intelligent oil and gas field with functions such as intelligent inspection of reservoir indicators and intelligent injection and production allocation. At present, 100% of offshore oil wells have achieved automated control, and 88 oil production platforms have achieved unmanned operation, which has improved labor efficiency and reduced the labor intensity of employees.
