Major Breakthrough in Gulong Shale Oil Fracturing Project!

The experimental well was designed by the Exploration Institute's Gulong Shale Oil Scale Effective Development Innovation Consortium, and construction started on November 15. The Exploration Institute has set up a field support team consisting of the head of the research institute, enterprise technical experts, technical backbones, etc., to overcome the adverse effects of high-intensity 24-hour continuous construction, frequent freezing of the manifold wellhead and fracturing fluid in extremely cold weather, and real-time detection of each section of liquid performance, close attention to the pumping curve, and timely adjustment of the fracturing fluid formula and construction procedures to ensure smooth construction of each section. After 20 days of hard work, the 47-section fracturing transformation of the test well was successfully completed, with the maximum construction section in a single day reaching 5 sections and the maximum sand addition in a single section reaching 216 cubic meters (346 tons).
During the implementation of the test well, it received the attention and effective guidance of many academicians and experts. In the next step, the innovation consortium will combine the post-fracturing effect with the integration of geological engineering to make a summary and improvement, promote the continuous sublimation of the results of the geological engineering integration of Gulong shale oil, and provide more powerful technical support for the efficient development of Gulong shale oil.
