The 23rd gas production period of PetroChina's Dagang Oilfield gas storage group came to a successful conclusion, with a cumulative gas production of 2.206 billion cubic meters, a year-on-year increase of 16%, setting a new gas production record in the past.

As the regional regulated gas source with the largest operating gas volume and the fastest effect in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Dagang Oilfield gas storage group is mainly responsible for the seasonal peak shaving and emergency gas supply tasks of natural gas in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. The natural gas extracted can be used in two hours. Reaching the urban area of Beijing, it is an important supporting facility for the Shaanxi-Beijing Pipeline.

Li Caixiong, Party Secretary of the Tianjin Gas Storage Branch of Dagang Oilfield Company, said that over the years, this gas storage group has been based on unleashing its maximum potential, and its daily gas production has successively exceeded the 10 million cubic meters, 20 million cubic meters, and 30 million cubic meters mark. Up to now, the entire reservoir group has been operating safely and stably for 8,524 days, with a cumulative gas production of 33 billion cubic meters over the years, becoming the "hard-core responsibility" for ensuring natural gas supply in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

In the current heating season last winter and this spring, in the face of successive low-temperature and cold waves, the Dagang Oilfield gas storage group attached great importance to the safe and stable supply of natural gas, setting new highs in gas production, the most days of high-intensity gas production, and the highest single-day gas production in history. Properly optimize production allocation in the production and operation process, strengthen upstream and downstream integrated coordination, continuously improve the overall operating efficiency of the reservoir group and gas storage peak-shaving capacity, and maximize the demand for domestic gas and winter heating of residents in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

At present, Dagang Oilfield has launched a "three-year action plan" with a working gas capacity of 5 billion cubic meters and continues to accelerate the construction of reserve storage.
