This project is located in the Liaodong Bay of the Bohai Sea. The underground oil-bearing reservoirs are characterized by regional concentration and multi-layer distribution. It is a typical "thousand-layer cake" type multi-layer sand body heavy oil reservoir. As a "black gold treasure" buried underground, heavy oil is firmly adsorbed in the formation pores like "solid glue", making it extremely difficult to mine.

It is understood that in order to solve technical problems such as multiple oil-bearing layers, poor engineering environment, and long distances, the project innovatively adopted the "thermal mining candied haws" directional development model. A single well connects multiple layers, and through "steam huff and puff + chemical assistance" The "steam flooding" method reduces the viscosity of underground crude oil and improves the fluidity of heavy oil, providing personalized solutions for the development and utilization of heavy oil reservoirs.

As China's first offshore heavy oil directional well layered thermal recovery development project, the project uses four drilling ships and adopts a competitive competition mode to carry out drilling and completion operations. It is expected to be able to meet the needs of stable use in cities with a population of one million for 3.5 years after being put into operation. .

In recent years, the production capacity construction of "low, marginal and thick" oil fields has become an important research direction for increasing reserves and production in Bohai oil fields. With the exploration and practice of multiple heavy oil thermal recovery projects such as Luda 21-1 Oilfield and Luda 5-2 North Oilfield, the heavy oil development technology system of Bohai Oilfield has been gradually improved, and the construction of the world's largest offshore heavy oil thermal recovery base has been completed. The prototype will provide guarantee for the construction of the Bohai oil and gas area, energy supply in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and national energy strategic security.
