Puguang Gas Field’s First “well Factory” Produces Over 10 Million Cubic Meters Of Gas

As of March 20, the Puluye 1 test well group, the first "well factory" in the Puguang Gas Field, has produced a cumulative gas production of 10.58 million cubic meters, accumulating experience and boosting confidence for the efficient development of the continental strata in the Puguang Gas Field.

The "well factory" model refers to building a drilling platform to perform streamlined centralized drilling and fracturing operations on multiple wells to improve drilling and fracturing efficiency. The Puluye 1 test well group is located in Laojun Township, Xuanhan County. The continental strata where it is located are rich in oil and gas and have high organic matter abundance, and are qualified for the establishment of a "well factory."
Liu Fangjian, deputy director of the gas production plant of Puguang Branch of Sinopec Zhongyuan Oilfield, introduced that Puguang Branch drew on the experience of shale gas development in gas fields in Fuling, Changning and other places to implement the continental "well factory" production and construction model for this well group.

Specifically, in order to maximize the production and construction level, the company followed the idea of "regional evaluation, continuous optimization, and distributed implementation" and deployed a total of 8 well locations, and implemented 2 continental tight gas wells and 3 continental shale gas wells in advance. ; During the drilling process, an integrated drilling, production and transportation model was adopted, abandoning the traditional sequential series construction of drilling, gas testing, and surface gathering and transportation, and replacing it with simultaneous parallel construction of drilling, gathering and transportation in different construction areas, further shortening the production and construction cycle.
In July last year, two tight gas wells, Well Pulu 3-1 and Well Pulu 3-2, were successfully put into production simultaneously. For more than half a year, the daily gas production has remained at about 50,000 cubic meters. Currently, three shale gas wells including Puluye Well 1-3 are preparing for fracturing gas testing and are expected to be put into production in the first half of this year.
Liu Fangjian said that in the next step, Puguang Branch will coordinate the process according to the established time nodes to ensure the orderly fracturing and production of the Puluye 1 test well group, laying a solid foundation for the next large-scale development of continental natural gas and providing a solid foundation for the gas field. Achieving the second development goal of 100 billion cubic meters will inject new momentum.
