Well Pengshen 101 is a key evaluation well deployed by Southwest Oil and Gas Company in the Penglai area. It was originally designed as a vertical well to further explore the upgradability and availability of reserves in the Penglai gas area. It was changed to a horizontal well and became the first well in the DY group in the area. Flat well process test well. The geological conditions of the well are complex, with a vertical depth of more than 7,000 meters, a well bottom static temperature of more than 175°C, strong reservoir heterogeneity, unclear horizontal and vertical distribution patterns of high-quality reservoirs, and extremely difficult geosteering and directional construction of horizontal wells. .

Well Fushenre 1 is located in Haikou City, Hainan Province. It is a rich area of deep geothermal resources in the Pacific Rim High Temperature Geothermal Zone, one of the four major high temperature geothermal zones in the world.
Previously, Well Fushenre 1 drilled a geothermal resource reservoir with a temperature of 150 degrees Celsius near 3,900 meters underground, and drilled a geothermal reservoir with a temperature of 188.71 degrees Celsius at a depth of 5,123 meters.

At present, the development and utilization of geothermal resources in my country is mainly based on shallow and medium-deep hydrothermal geothermal resources. However, the development of deep geothermal resources below 3,000 meters, especially hot dry rock resources, is still in the exploratory stage. According to data from the China Geological Survey, the amount of hot dry rock geothermal resources within 3 kilometers to 10,000 meters underground in my country's land areas is equivalent to 856 trillion tons of standard coal. Even if only 2% is extracted, it can reach my country's 2023 2993 times the annual energy consumption.
