A New Major Unconventional Energy Replacement Block Was Added To Yan'an Gas Field

Shaanxi Yanchang Gasfield Company successfully ignited a gas well in the bauxite layer of the Benxi Formation in the eastern part of the Yan'an Gasfield, with an unobstructed flow rate of more than 20,000 cubic meters per day, which further shows that the bauxite reservoir of the Benxi Formation has good exploration prospects and is expected to become an important resource successor area for the sustainable development of the Yan'an Gasfield.

In recent years, in order to build and stabilize the 15 billion cubic meters of natural gas production capacity, the company has accelerated the breakthrough of unconventional resource exploration on the basis of conventional resource exploration, continued to deepen the research on natural gas accumulation and enrichment laws, actively expanded resource categories, and explored and promoted the exploration of "new strata and new fields". Benxi Formation bauxite is a reservoir with good development prospects and has great exploration demand.

In order to further tap the gas potential of bauxite, the company's gas production plant No. 1 combined geological data analysis, reservoir characteristics, and optimized engineering design, and adopted a "large-scale pre-acid pretreatment + full-process fast-dissolving slick water fracturing fluid" combination system to formulate a "low sand ratio, high mesh" fracturing plan; during the construction process, by strictly controlling the materials entering the well, keeping a close eye on the construction process, monitoring key processes, strictly controlling key indicators, and strictly checking basic data, after 2 hours of fracturing construction, the one-time exploration was successful, further verifying the exploration potential of Benxi Formation bauxite.
