The First New Continental Well in Puguang Gas Field This Year Was Successfully Put Into Production

Well Pulu 8, the first new continental well in the Puguang Gas Field this year, was successfully opened and put into production. The instantaneous daily gas production reached 50,000 cubic meters, and the production oil pressure was 16 MPa. All system parameters ran smoothly, injecting new momentum into the efficient development of continental gas wells in the Puguang Gas Field. 

Well Pulu 8 is a key prospecting well deployed in the Puguang East syncline of the Sichuan Basin. Previously, the well's vertical well fracturing in the Da'anzhai section of the Ziliu well group obtained a high-yield gas flow of 105,000 cubic meters, showing good exploration prospects for natural gas in the Da'anzhai section. It set two highest records in continental vertical well gas testing production and wellhead pressure in the Puguang Gas Field.

In order to convert reserves into production as soon as possible, the Puguang Branch of Zhongyuan Oilfield has established a special team for production capacity construction and a special team for production and operation. It organizes efficiently and operates on the wall chart, focusing on equipment debugging, pressure testing and air tightness, and safety condition confirmation, etc., to speed up Pulu 8 Well surface engineering construction, dynamic optimization of construction nodes.

In response to the problems of low temperatures and slippery roads in snowy weather in the early stages of production, the factory strengthened road safety management and control, and ensured road traffic in a timely manner to ensure normal traffic for vehicles. In order to solve the shortage of material supply due to the tight start-up time, the factory arranged dedicated personnel to supervise the manufacturing progress of materials, carry out timely delivery and transportation work, and also adopted material storage and recycling of old equipment and materials. All materials were delivered within the specified time. All participating units worked together and closely to coordinate personnel safety and construction quality, successfully putting Well Pulu 8 into production at one time.

The successful commissioning of Well Pulu 8 will contribute positively to the Puguang Gas Field's "good start" in production in the first quarter of 2024, laying a solid foundation for the next large-scale development of continental natural gas.
