In recent years, with the deepening of exploration and development of offshore oilfields, the main block of water-driven reservoirs entered the high water content period, and the offshore production position gradually shifted to the side of the main block and the middle and deep layers. In order to accelerate the increase in reserves and production, Shengli Oilfield turned its attention to the sea thick oil block, innovation and integration of thick oil cold recovery technology and integration of efficient production of new modes, so that the sea thick oil block to achieve new breakthroughs in the development of benefits.

In the production model, they adopted the new model of "fewer wells, higher production" production model, innovation and integration to improve the single-well control reserves, increase the seepage area of the oil layer, reduce the damage of the completion of wells as the key to the integration of the operation of the development model, to cultivate high-yield and high-efficiency wells, and to efficiently convert the reserves into production.

This development model has been successfully applied in Chengbei 208 and other blocks, in which Chengbei 208 has an average daily production of more than 70 tons of oil in a single well and an annual production of 230,000 tons of oil, which has doubled the production of a single well and the overall production capacity compared with the design, and has become a Shengli offshore "production capacity enhancement demonstration area", which has won the special prize of SINOPEC for high-efficiency production capacity construction.

In terms of technological innovation, they have adopted chemical drive technology to significantly increase the recovery rate. in November 2020, the offshore oilfield implemented a pilot project of chemical drive in Chengbei 22F block, gradually exploring and solving the problems of limited platform space, no water dispersal, high humidity, etc., and initially formed the chemical drive technology for offshore oilfields to significantly increase the recovery rate.

After three years of research, the project has innovatively formed the Shengli offshore chemical drive technology system of "full-process confinement and viscosity preservation, small-space large-scale injection and aggregation, and intelligent control of the whole process". Up to now, the chemical drive pilot test area in Chengbei 22F block has a daily production of 1,300 tons of oil, with a cumulative increase of 439,000 tons of oil and a recovery rate increase of 14.2%.

In terms of intelligent management, they use remote production monitoring, online production precision measurement, drone inspection, etc., to install the "strongest brain" to the offshore oilfield. Among them, they explore the intelligent operation mode of "data+platform+application", develop and apply a number of apps covering six major business fields such as reservoir management, well management, etc., promote digital transformation, intelligent enhancement, and remodeling of business flow, and basically build an intelligent oil and gas field with the functions of intelligent inspection of reservoir indexes, and intelligent injection and extraction deployment, etc. At present, 100% of the offshore oil wells have realized the intelligent operation of the field. At present, 100% of the offshore oil wells are under automated control, and 88 oil production platforms are unmanned, which improves labor efficiency and reduces the labor intensity of employees.
