When constructing on the vast ocean, the acceleration of each type of project means a significant reduction in development costs. In traditional offshore oil and gas development, perforation testing technology has shortcomings such as long operation cycle, high operating cost, and poor reservoir protection. To this end, the CNPC Well Logging Offshore Technology Team designed and developed a two-layer layered time-sharing perforation testing technology in one trip of the string.

In order to achieve multi-layer perforation in one trip of the string, the technicians conducted in-depth research on key links such as the temperature resistance of the perforator, the anti-detonation impact of the string, the compressive strength, and the control of the test channel, innovated the string structure, tackled the two-layer perforator graded detonation technology, systematically tested the layered test channel control system, comprehensively configured the string strength, and optimized the safety system in the string. This technology uses a single trip of the string to realize the combination of two layers of perforators and oil test tools down to the well at one time, and uses the packer to set the well equipment into two layers of perforators. Li Bin, a second-level engineer in charge of the project, introduced: "We first detonate the first layer of perforating guns by pressure and enter the test procedure. After the test is completed, the second layer of perforating guns is detonated by throwing rods without circulating well pressure and moving the pipe string. At this time, the hole-closing device in the facility can automatically close the first layer of fluid production channel and test the second layer alone." The key to layered and fine oil testing is to achieve non-interference between the two layers of fluid production.

To solve this problem, technicians effectively combined the principles of classical engineering mechanics with the principles of mechanical transmission and designed working channels that are both interrelated and isolated from each other. The perforating test construction of Zhanghai 401 Well in Dagang Oilfield used this series of technologies, reducing the number of processes from 20 to 12, saving 7.6 days in the oil test cycle, while reducing the operations of drilling and well washing, and effectively reducing the generation of industrial waste oil and water.

CNPC Well Logging will continue to explore and develop ultra-high temperature hydraulic delayed detonation devices with a temperature resistance of more than 200 degrees Celsius in combination with the needs of complex tubing TCP perforation in offshore deepwater ultra-high temperature wells. It will explore and verify the applicability and reliability of the technology in a simulated ultra-high temperature wellbore environment, and gradually form a complete set of ultra-high temperature hydraulic delayed detonation technology.
