North China Project Breaks Many Records For Deep Coalbed Methane Wells

On September 22, the Yuyang 1HF well, a horizontal well for deep coalbed methane exploration in the Daniudi gas field, constructed by the 50878HB drilling team of the Wupu Drilling Branch of North China Petroleum Engineering Company, was successfully completed. This well completed a 1,200-meter horizontal coal seam section in one trip, breaking six records of the fastest drilling, completion, and well construction cycle for deep coalbed methane exploration wells with high inclination and large boreholes in the Daniudi gas field, the longest coal seam horizontal section in deep coalbed methane exploration wells, the highest drilling rate, and the deepest horizontal well for deep coalbed methane exploration.
