In the face of complicated geological situation, through "three re-understandings", i.e. re-understanding the tectonic pattern, re-understanding the spread of sand body and the range of high-quality reservoirs, and re-understanding the characteristics of the oil reservoirs, a new understanding of the formation of the Upper Urho Formation as a whole and the local enrichment and high production in the Fuzhong Trough is proposed. Through the understanding of reservoir spreading characteristics and oil content, combined with several rounds of seismic attribute inversion, it is confirmed that the reservoir of phase III sand body of Upper Urho Formation in this area is large in scale, and the physical properties are better, which is suitable to carry out the technical research of horizontal wells to improve the production, and the KANG DAN 001H well has been deployed in the high part of the nose ridge.

During the drilling process, the Exploration Division quickly set up an integrated team for speeding up drilling and geosteering, took advantage of the integration of geology and engineering around the speeding-up target, scientifically formulated the speeding-up program, and the experts from A and B parties promoted the program as a whole on the site, and implemented the speeding-up measures at each level to effectively overcome the drilling problems of abnormally high pressure in the target layer, large burial depth, and poor drillability, and efficiently completed the 6290-meter drilling task 25 days earlier than the target of speeding up drilling and achieving high-quality cementing. With 70.2 days drilling cycle and 78.5 days completion cycle, the company efficiently completed 6,290 meters of drilling tasks, and realized the goals of speeding up drilling and high quality cementing 25 days ahead of schedule.
Focusing on the goal of geosteering horizontal wells, the Exploration Division set up an on-site joint office team, the chief expert of the oilfield and the technical expert of the enterprise carefully followed up and guided the work, set up a day and night shift guiding duty mechanism and a supervisory duty mechanism on site, supervised the implementation of the guiding and steering measures, strengthened the technical guarantee of the "double post" of logging wells, and achieved the rate of encountering the reservoirs with 91.0% of the wells drilled. 91.0%.
