Spacer Spool, also referred to as Riser Spool, or Surface Riser Spool, is pressure-containing piece of equipment having end connections, used below or between drill-through equipment. Spacer spool is wellhead section which has no provision for suspension of tubular members and which may have no provision for sealing of tubular members. It is used to provide separation between two components with equal-sized end connections.

Riser spools are pressure-bearing devices with end connections that are used under or between drilling equipment. It is the portion of the wellhead that is not used to suspend the tubular member and may not be used to seal the tubular member. It is used to provide separation between two components with the same size termination.
Fully manufactured and tested to API 6A standards, the riser spool provides excellent performance as a wellhead extension, ensuring choke and kill manifold connections.
